The EUROfiasco Top 10 for 2018

As pixel goes to screen, the 2018 Flag-Waving is in full swing. The sunshine is miraculously out, it’s a bank holiday weekend, and we are moments away from a big Eurovision send-off. It’s time, folks.

And that means we can now reveal the 2018 EUROfiasco Top 10. Yes, that’s it there on the right. And you can enjoy it in various other forms too: as a YouTube Playlist, as a fully formed lean-back compilation on Vimeo, or in audio form via Spotify or Apple Music.

Somewhat surprisingly, that’s the second year in a row that FYR Macedonia have featured (let’s hope they do a bit better this year than last). It’s the third year on the trot for France. And, less surprisingly perhaps, it’s the 8th year in a row that Sweden have been in our top 10 - although Benjamin gets the lowest placing they’ve had yet.

But it is Aussie Aussie Aussie fo us, and wouldn’t it be great if this uplifting and joyous slice of pop took the prize for our Eurovision-loving friends down under? Assuming of course that SuRie can’t storm it for the UK.

At this stage nobody has a clue who is gonna win. It’s even more open than last year. And that is very exciting!
