Two weeks to go

If any readers thought that the comprehensive last post on the Danish final was going to herald a new era of regular writing for this blog then, er, the silence since then will have soon put you right. To be fair, Twitter, Facebook and even Instagram have been updated - but most of all, Eurovision news is best covered by those with the resources and time to do so. We refer our honourable friends and readers to Wiwibloggs as a decent and lively place to get your news fix!

Another reason that makes it tricky to update here is that we are still two weeks away from unveiling the EUROfiasco Top 10, which means that we can't really tell you about the latest happenings as it's too hard not to reveal our preferences for particular songs.

Since we last wrote though, there has been the London Eurovision Party at Cafe de Paris which, once again, we attended and had a lovely time at. It was probably their biggest line-up ever, but they managed to rattle through them in such a way that it was possible to see Dame Nicki French do her thing at the end, and still be in bed by 1am.



Over the next few weeks, the votes of OGAE branches across Europe and beyond are being unveiled each day. After only a few days there is a clear pattern emerging, with a core group of countries regularly appearing and a few others who crop up. Moreover, there are a large number of countries who simply aren't getting on the scoreboard at all! Much like the other big vote that is happening this week - it's going to be one of the most interesting and unusual Eurovisions yet.

And so, two weeks today, we fly to Vienna!
