Torino, abbiamo un risultato

With the London Eurovision Party tonight, and Amsterdam Eurovision in Concert next week, it was pretty important that we arrive knowing our favourites - and, as crucially, not having to not let on to each other about which ones we liked. We need to cheer and support at the pre-parties with mucho gusto, knowing who we are rooting for and who we will be politely applauding or co-ordinating loo breaks around.

So this Friday was the day - very much in the usual style. Eurovision had kindly announced the running orders this week too, so we were able to watch each semi-final in the way the gods intended and vote accordingly.

Obviously we can’t yet reveal our Top 10… that will happen, in time honoured tradition, at the Flag-Waving on Saturday 7 May. At time of pixel going to screen we don’t know if that’s going to be a Torino send-off for us, or a merely a warm-up event to a Eurovision party a week later, as we await news of tickets via the OGAE ballot and/or next week’s ticket sale. Yes, it is quite late, but I guess Covid hasn’t made things easy for anyone this year. We shall see what happens! If we do go we’ll be a small but perfectly formed group. Let’s see!
