As pixel goes to screen, we have just unveiled our favourite songs at Eurovision 2022. You'll recall that we voted on them back at the start of April, in the time-honoured fashion, but have had to keep it publicly schtum (Shum?) until today's Flag-Waving Preview Party (thanks to all who came!).
So without further ado, our Top 10 are as follows. Use the links at the top of this post to enjoy our besties on your streaming service or see them in fine audio-visual fettle.
- 12 points: Sweden
- 10 points: Austria
- 8 points: Czech Republic
- 7 points: France
- 6 points: Italy
- 5 points: Norway
- 4 points: Spain
- 3 points (equal) to both Ireland and Malta
- 1 point to Israel
Honourable mention to our outsiders (whereby one of us put them in the top 10 but they didn't collectively get enough to make the combined one): Ukraine, Romania, Greece, Finland, Germany, and Denmark.
Of course having lived with all the songs for a while now there are others that pop up and you warm to more than we did a month ago.. and no doubt after seeing them on stage (yes, actually live on stage!) in Turin next week, and hearing the at the fakeEuroclub every night, we will love many more songs. But we feel confident that the upper reaches of our Top 10, at least, are secure as our faves. Go Cornelia!
And of course, Go Sam - the love for the UK entry continues apace and we are properly excited to see that come to life next week.
In the meantime, have a great Eurovision week everyone! We'll post here when all is said and done (eventually!) but hopefully during the week the Instagram account will tell the tales of our Torino trip.
